While this initiative may not be new in format, it consistently sparks enthusiasm. Not solely because of the cause we support—which varies each year—but because it allows us to showcase our talents, share our passions, and connect beyond the professional sphere.
This year, we hosted a Talent Auction, with all proceeds donated to support two animal shelters located in Poznań and Skałowo.
The auction featured a diverse range of offerings: homemade treats, office waffle-making, beauty treatments, crafts, breathing workshops, an RPG session, foreign language lessons, a meeting with a dog behaviourist, and even training at a shooting range. Some employees invited friends and family to join in and contribute their own talents to the auction.
Instead of traditional currency, our campaign operated on donations of pet food and cat litter.
Throughout the process, we were continually surprised and inspired. With 25 unique bids, we collected 775 cans of pet food and 320 kg of cat litter—far exceeding our expectations. The energy and excitement during the auction were truly remarkable.
What made this initiative so successful? A shared purpose is powerful. Equally important is the opportunity to express who we are—beyond our roles and responsibilities. This event created space for authenticity and creativity, perfectly aligned with our “Free to Be” philosophy at Bridgestone. It also served as a fantastic team-building experience, with many offers designed for both individuals and groups.
And the best part? There were no downsides—only positive impact, meaningful engagement, and a lot of joy.
